Editorial Policy
Immigration decisions are expensive and hard to undo. A wrong fee or an outdated rule can cost a reader months. This page explains how we try to get things right.
Sources
We build every guide on primary sources: government immigration departments, labour departments, official statistics agencies and professional regulators. Examples include IRCC and Job Bank in Canada, USCIS, the State Department, the Department of Labor and the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the United States, GOV.UK, the German Federal Foreign Office and Make it in Germany, the Australian Department of Home Affairs and Immigration New Zealand.
Where a figure comes from a secondary source, such as a rental market report, we say so in the text.
Salaries and costs
Pay figures are given as ranges and tied to an official dataset where possible, such as median wages from Job Bank or the BLS, or a published prevailing wage. Actual offers vary by employer, region and experience. Living costs are estimates and change quickly, especially rent.
Updates and corrections
Immigration rules change often. We review our main guides regularly and after major policy announcements. When we make a significant change, we update the date shown on the article. If you find an error, email contact@hymnsolfas.com and we will check it against the official source and correct it.
Independence
We do not accept payment to recommend a recruiter, consultant, school or employer. Advertising on this site is served by third-party ad networks and is kept separate from editorial content. We will not publish job listings we cannot verify, and we never ask readers to pay for job offers or visa help.
Not legal advice
Our guides explain how programs generally work. They are not legal advice and cannot account for every personal situation. Always confirm current requirements on the official government website, and consider speaking to a licensed immigration professional before you apply.
